The needs of children are at the heart of our ministry as a church. We provide quality education and fun activities for them. Children are incorporated into worship leadership roles. As they enter the 5th and 6th grades, we encourage them to participate in Discipleship Classes.

Our nursery facilities and staff provide an atmosphere of security and love for infants and toddlers during Sunday School, Morning Worship, and other special programs of the church. An extended session is provided for children through kindergarten age during the morning worship hour.

The associate pastor has a Time With Children during most Sunday Services.  Once a month, the children leave the main service for their own special Children's Church.

Vacation Bible School is held each summer to give special attention to the spiritual development of children, plus a lot of fun. We invite children ages 3 through the 5th grade to participate in Vacation Bible School. It is normally held the 3rd week of June. Check our calendar for the exact dates. Please register your children so we can prepare for them. You may send their names and age or grade completed to mount_carmel@bellsouth.net or phone the church office: 933-8565. We will send to you information as it develops. The time for VBS will be set by May 15.
