Mount Carmel Baptist - Music Program Description

MUSIC MINISTRY

Mount Carmel Baptist Church understands and seeks to follow the Biblical commands to worship the triune God and proclaim our Christian faith through music. Persons of all ages are provided opportunities to utilize their talents and express their faith through musical offerings, both as singers and instrumentalists.

Worship

Congregational singing is one of the most important parts of our music ministry. The Sunday morning worship includes both time-honored as well as contemporary hymnody.

The Sanctuary Choir provides musical leadership for the Sunday morning worship hour and sings a wide variety of choral literature ranging from the classics to contemporary styles. This choir also presents two special musical programs each year, one during the Christmas season and one in the spring.

Choirs and Ensembles

Organized choral groups rehearse weekly. Auditions are not required, and new members are always assured a warm welcome.

Soloists and smaller ensembles such as duets, trios and quartets from time to time contribute musical variety to our Sunday morning worship and other gatherings.
